AAD 2011

Hey girls!

For all of those interested in attending the Authors After Dark Convention (AAD) in 2011, registration will be opening soon. Watch this spot for a link!

Next year's event will be held on August 11th to August 14th at the Doubletree Suites in Philadelphia, PA! That's right! You'll be in MY backyard.

Although Joey won't be attending the convention next year, (she promises she'll be back in 2012) the Femme Fatales of Atlantis will be attending in her stead, and promoting her work on her behalf. Want to be a part of this wild weekend? Stay tuned for registration details.

With how many people keep showing up to the Femme Fatales of Atlantis parties, we need a larger room. We can fit the 6 of us in a King sized bed right? Too bad they don't have 2 adjoining suites.

Oh and ladies, you will not BELIEVE the fantastic deal Stella got us all on the room rates!!

Stella dear, if you are out there, can you confirm if it's the Doubletree downtown, or the West Philly Doubletree?

It's the downtown Doubletree on Broad Street. It's a gorgeous hotel!

I've stayed at that hotel before, and Jaime is right, its a gorgeous place and the rooms are lovely. Good choice in hotels to hold a convention at!

Ok, so how do we get the AAD room rate for the Presidential Suite? I think that should fit the party guests.

We won't be holding the parties in the rooms next year. Stella secured some serious space, and we probably won't even need to use our room(s)! I've seen the photos. It will blow you away! Harmon Meadows HI has NOTHING on the Doubletree!

As far as the presidential suite is concerned, I think it would be awesome to chip in for it! JWH FF Weekend will ROCK that Presidential suite!

That's fantastic!! We get our own conference room space for the parties!! That might actually help us keep from bothering other guests in their rooms at 3am. LOL
Have you heard if the rooms we get to use have an end time each night? Hopefully they are open ended from the start of the conference to it's end.

I think we have them all night. But I'll double check!

Cool. I'm sure it is, but just wanted to make sure, because at my 40th birthday party the hotel made me sign a contract saying the room had to be free of alcohol by a certain time due to liquor license stuff.

Oh and Jamie, you are 100% correct woman. We would SOOO rock that Presidential Suite it would be legendary...Folk songs would be written about it and passed on for years.

So far...I think Kat, Mai, and a friend of Mar's will be joining our crowd. So that's 8 so far. Not sure if any of the other forum girls will be attending. I sure hope so!
