Ellora's Cave: 10 Years of Refusing to Behave
Can you believe it? Ellora's Cave is 10 years old! Seems like a hundred years ago that Jaid Black launched Ellora's Cave from her kitchen table. Little did she know then that she was also launching a whole new genre and publishing model. Just one short decade ago, almost no one had heard of "erotic romance" and "ebooks" let alone read or written one. Now Romantica® erotic romance is whole subculture with hundreds of authors, thousands of fans and dozens of imitators. Come toast, feast and dance the night away as we celebrate the birth and growth of this wonderous community of women who refuse to behave!

I can't go this year *sighs* I got vacation for Dragon Con but when they hired me they told me to pick which event. I'd had both planned before finding work lol. Next year. I swear I'll meet her one day!

Mar, you can go to the DragonCon website (think it's dragoncon.org, but just Google Dragon Con) and you will get to see not only what's coming up next year, but clips and tons of stuff about this past year's event. There's like 30,000 people that pile into few huge downtown atlanta hotels, and about 40% of them are in costume for every fantasy/sci-fi/animated flick character you can think of - and some I think are just in fetish wear because they can get away with it and it's fun (lol).

And Hales, I hope we do have that meeting one day! I'll be back on the con circuit in 2012 - maybe then!

Am still up in Ohio, enjoying wonderful readers/authors (like yourselves!) at Romanticon. VJ (who co-writes under Violet Summers and now has a pending book with EC under VJ Summers - a Goth male/male that is AWESOME!! Can't wait until it's out officially) took a picture tonight of me with Angelo, who is the gracious and fun model on Branded Sanctuary. He signed one of my excerpt booklets for the book and then VJ took the picture of me holding it and standing with him. She'll email me the pic sometime next week so I can get it in the gallery here to share with you guys. Forgot my camera so I'm relying on the kindness of others (grin). You all would have loved the dancing tonight. The boys got out there and got us all on the floor to a variety of songs, including a Grease montage!

OHMYGOD - just reading this made me flush *bouncing* I'm actually wondering if there's YouTube from the Grease montage....it was flat out amazing - of course, i'm totally biased after getting to hang out with the Cavemen - sweet, sexy, incredibly nice and sometimes shy guys all - everyone should go to Romanticon!!

Kelly, I agree - it was a tremendous amount of fun, and the guys really put their hearts and energy into it. I haven't located any YouTube footage on it, but maybe at some point someone will post video they did of it on their blog, etc. (smile).
